The International Skating Union (ISU) is deeply saddened to learn of the death of Matilda Ferrari, a talented and passionate young skater who tragically died in an accident at only 15 years old on Monday, September 15 in Trentino, Val Rendena, Italy.

Training at the club in Pinzolo, Ferrari had shown great dedication and passion for figure skating, and dreamed of one day competing at the Olympic Winter Games. The ISU and global figure skating community extends its deepest condolences to Ferrari’s family and the Italian figure skating community as they grieve this heartbreaking loss.
